...a collective sigh of relief...

...what an amazing experience to meet up with our charity,
'Die Skiereiland Maatskaplike Dienste', (Peninsula Social Services)
in Elsies Rivier.

they were so excited and appreciative of our donation. h and i sat down
with them over a cup of tea and chatted about who we were (s&s)
and what they are doing for the community. hundreds of abused and
abandoned children and babies pass through there every year,
and it was so nice to know that we have lightened their burden,
even if just for a month or two.

makes all the hours spend by all of us lovely ladies worthwhile,
so now with that chapter closed, it's laundry monster time...

...and the bunny corpses are still alive...

...look-see, look-see the urban edge mag  for june 2012 did a stunning article on the~exquisite~bunny~corpse~auction...

...sigh, they are gone...

...and it's all over. the bunnies all have good homes, we did not kick or harm a bunny and we made over R6000 for our charity. our sweet&soutie members rocks big time...

...if you don't come, we're gonna kick this bunny...

...so you've been waiting to do something good, but didn't know how or who to help. we've just made it really easy. we've found needy kids, made these amazing bunnies, organised the auction, all you need is to rock up and buy one.

our exquisite bunnies are finally ready to be revealed to the world at the lovely Haas in Cape Town. all money raised will go towards the Peninsula Child Services {Skiereiland Maatskaplike Werke} for purchasing essentials for abandoned and abused babies and kids in Elsies Rivier.

...as you know with each beautiful bunny comes a bunny book of life. look at this post if you missed it. the booklets are almost done. soon you can have a look-see on the inside too. we just could not resist taking some photos for you of them together...

...so after months of planning, late night sewing, then passing on, and more planning
and sewing and passing on, we have a fab little family of 10 designer bunnies.
each of which was worked on by between 4 and 6 different designers.

so watch this space for details of the auction and the charity that the money will support
thank you, thank you, thank you to our 18 designers who made this all happen. mmmmwah!!!

...don't you just love locos el rabbirto's (translation 'crazy the rabbit') new wrestler cape,

ronel so diligently and patiently continued ilse's embroidery style and made this perfectly

matched little cape for him, locos is complete and ready for the ring...

...petronellatjie finished at last...

...isn't she beeeeaaaaauuuudiful! just love lorraine's contribution of the little heart
eyes, which compliment marnhe's fur heart perfectly. and those bloomers...
sies nellatjie, daai bene is darm seksie né!...

...especially for us...

...our two lovelies, lauren and nina, sent us some teaser pics for what to expect
for your new badges, don't they look sweet? shame for those who can't make the
meeting, really hope this 'isn't' rubbing it in at all, hehehe...

...our first recycled bunny, reggie used to be the beginning of a hand knitted teddy,
but now with a set of lovely ears, he has been transformed into a bunny, he so
desperately needs a personality, please oh please come and fetch him...

...after dropping out of private school, for a dismally unsuccessful modeling career,
paris, as she likes to be called, is in need of some fab accessories, maybe even a
labradoodle to tuck under her fabulous arm...

...meet bruce, our first red fluffy bunny from down under, thanks to ilse. 

bruce - not the sharpest pencil, will soon have a face to match...

...i couldn't resist, a grey felt bunny fwend makes schwe-etie a content little bunny...

...aaaaah a fluffy little tail, and bootie details, and ronel, a new member has offered
to make us a 'cape', he's gonna look amazing...

...our little schwe-schwe schwe-tie gets a face, thanks to heloise, this cutie has inspired
me to make a little friend for her...

...thanks to roule for illustrating and embroidering ol' edna, and also for donating 

this fab material, henriette couldn't resist making another bunny, which takes our

bunny total to 10! aaaah the children, we're really gonna make a big difference with

all of our small hands...
